Busy part of the day
When the counter is busy, we still let each bake rest before you collect it. If something is short, we say so rather than handing over a bake that is still hot. A hot bake stays in the bakery until the inside has settled.
Visit
This page sets the steps of a visit, from what you tell us to the moment the bake leaves with you. It does not print a clock time. We confirm the collection day when you use the contact page, and we say which bake has rested. A bake that is still hot stays in the bakery, and we name a later collection.
Use the contact page before you come. Name the bake, the number, and the day you hope to collect. We confirm what has rested. This page does not print a fixed week, and it does not replace that reply. If the bake is still hot, the reply names a later collection.
Ask the bakery
When the counter is busy, we still let each bake rest before you collect it. If something is short, we say so rather than handing over a bake that is still hot. A hot bake stays in the bakery until the inside has settled.
A quieter part of the day gives us more time to rest sliced bread and set fruit on tarts. The rest before collection is the same. Bread leaves with a settled interior, and a tart leaves with a cool pastry base.
On a first visit, tell us the kind of bake and the day, and we bake it for you. The bake, the number, and the day are enough for a good start. We choose the flour and bring you the finished bake once it has rested.
